I found Design Haus on an internet seach a few years ago and what a score it was. The initial experience of working with Brittany, and on recommendation Andy as Project Manager, proved to be an outstanding success with our first bathroom. Brittany listened to our hopes and desires as well as budget and we were absolutely delighted with the result, so we got them to do our second bathroom.

From the initial design through to the completed build, the whole ensuite bathroom renovation process went very smoothly. Everyone I met as I went to view product suggestions spoke so highly of Brittany, her helpful and kind attitude, as well as her fabulous design work.

Brittany designed our bathrooms, guest toilet and laundry as part of the renovation of our home. 
Whilst we didn’t change the footprint of the rooms, Brittany changed the layouts to utilise the space better.  With her design expertise, we were able to increase the size of the showers in all three bathrooms, which has made a noticeable difference.  Brittany’s input on tiles, textures, and fittings was invaluable as there were many decisions that needed to be made throughout the process.  Brittany’s design expertise meant that she was able to include features like sensor lighting that we had not even considered.  In fact, we left the lighting design in her hands and some of the feature lighting she designed are now amongst our favourite features.

Brittany was friendly and easy to deal with and got to know us through the project.  She understood the type of look we wanted, our likes and dislikes and ended up creating rooms that are stylish and cohesive, but also have their own unique design features.  We love every single room she designed and would not change a thing.

It has been a pleasure working with Brittany as our bathroom designer. We started the process virtually while still living in Mexico before moving back to New Zealand. Due to Brittany’s great communication and organization, this process flowed seamlessly.

Natalija has designed three great new bathrooms for our home in Auckland.  The work was completed in June 2024, and we are very happy with the results!  

We are both very involved in work, and not much interested in bathrooms or renovations in general. But the need for bathroom renovations at least became so dire it was becoming mildly embarrassing. We asked Natalija for help, with the request that she didn’t give us more than 2-3 choices on anything and didn’t ask us to spend a lot of time looking at products. We wanted three mid-range bathrooms that other people would generally like if they were considering buying our house sometime in the future. Natalija did a great job of achieving this, while advising us on the process and recommending a Project Manager. 

Natalija and her recommended Project Manager also helped us with other non-bathroom renovation work that needed to be done.  All work was done in a timely manner, came right on budget, and with a minimum of inconvenience to us.  We now have a house that is a whole lot nicer and is fully compliant.  It is fair to say that without Natalija’s help it is likely that we would still be kicking the can down the road!

We found Brittany a dream to work with. From the outset, we explained to Brittany that we don't have an eye for design and can be quite indecisive. She took this on board and managed to strike a good balance between giving us options and not making the whole selection process an arduous task.

Brittany has an eye for great detail and this was reflected in the plans she provided. We had a good idea of what fittings we liked, but we really had no idea with tiles, colours, and lighting. As an example, Brittany brought over different tile samples for us to look at, and did a great job helping us choose tiles to go with the look we wanted.

The end result - we couldn't ask for a more beautiful bathroom with great functionality. It certainly gives our house that wow factor!

There were changes and complications around lockdowns, but she managed all of these and always kept us informed. Design Haus’ recommended Project Manager and his team of trades worked in our home for three months due to lockdowns. They did an amazing and high quality job. Work was completed in a timely and organised fashion, despite lockdowns and product shortages. The standard of the work is amazing, particularly in the care that was taken in the first few days of building, which set up the whole project.

Andy was excellent with communication and kept us fully in the loop. His team of tradesmen were all reliable, friendly and pleasant to have in the house, and they all cleaned up after themselves. They were all very good about checking minor changes with me, before any changes were made.

The finished product in both bathroom and laundry is outstanding, looks amazing and everything works beautifully.

Wow, what a God send Natalija proved to be!  After 18 months of debate and seemingly 100's of trips to showrooms to find the right layout for our bathroom, my wife and I engaged a design consultant.  Our bathroom dimensions are not generous and we wanted to include a walk-in shower, a freestanding bath and a good sized vanity in our main bathroom, however we didn't want a sense of congestion. My wife and I had been procrastinating on this project for a long time due to our inability to visualize the right layout or products to achieve the best potential for the room.

Given we had worked on designing the bathroom for a long time and had a fair idea of what we wanted, therefore we didn't need the expense of a specialist design and build, nor did we need the working drawings, so we were pleased that Natalija was flexible enough to cater her service to our requirements, with a one-off in home Ideas Consultation.

Natalija was very prompt with her communication and had a couple of workable concept plans drafted in a matter of days.  The on-site meeting to "sensibility check" the concepts and discuss the options for products and specs took a couple of hours and we were able to confirm remaining details over the course of a few emails.  Needless to say we found the whole experience with Natalija flawless from the first phone call and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services to anyone looking for big or small input to their project. In fact, we have already spread the word within our community of family and friends, and reached out to Design Haus a second time, where Brittany has successfuy helped us design the bathrooms in our commercail office building.

I'm so happy with my new bathroom. It was a tricky, partial renovation with only vague notions on my part as to what could be achieved. Brittany worked closely with her recommended Bathroom Project Manager and together they came up with practical solutions that would fulfil my wish to retain some fixtures in a workable modern design.

Throughout the design process, Brittany provided various options for the colour scheme and products. She brought samples, created plans and visual impressions, directed me to showrooms to see her recommendations, and responded to my feedback and preferences.

Personal circumstances meant that the project was put on hold for 16 months. Brittany went out of her way to revisit and finalise the plans, again liaising with the Project Manager and attending to every detail.

I experienced minimal disruption during the renovation and was pleased with the timely communications and excellent workmanship.

My bathroom renovation was a complex challenge: a universe of ideas for two small specific spaces that needed to sit naturally in a house that was neither historic nor contemporary.

I am so lucky to have had Brittany leading the team to take on this challenge.

From the outset I knew that she understood the house, the spaces and the vague, lofty brief that she was given.

As the designer, she found me somewhere to start and patiently led me through each of the wild variations I came up with: how it would look, what products I could use, what the advantages and disadvantages were and what the costings would be. I am the Co-Director of a Building Company which has been involved in the building industry for 20 years. We have designed and built a number of houses for spec, for clients and for ourselves. My role is to design every component of the house from the beginning i.e. draw plans to scale, then manage the project, both exterior and interior, through to final completion. Every home we have built has sold quickly which has given me confidence in my design skills.

We were in the process of building another home and I was in Auckland searching for products and finishes, and this is where I crossed paths with Natalija. I am ashamed to admit that I wondered what on earth someone so young and inexperienced (I incorrectly assumed) could possibly offer an “old hand” like me.

Thinking to myself that I didn’t really need any help other than colour schemes I slowly divulged a little more information. Her understanding of what I was trying to achieve was immediate. With ease she came up with ideas, making practical but creative suggestions regarding the basic design of the rooms.

I was so impressed with her ideas that I eventually left Natalija with the working drawings and headed home. Over the next few weeks we emailed back and forth, all the while she kept asking all the questions until she completely understood how the home was to function practically with 3 teenagers, yet be stylish and up-market. We weren’t trying to recreate or follow any trend and as difficult as I found this to communicate, Natalija imagined the project better than I could.

I was extremely impressed with the final designs. As we implemented her designs into the house I can say without doubt that they exceeded my expectations in every way.

I have designed many houses on my own and been satisfied with the results. Having this one experience with Natalija as a designer has changed my mind completely. With my designs I was satisfied. With Natalija’s designs I was elated. With any future projects I will involve Natalija from the very beginning. I may be twice her age and have many more years industry experience, but in terms of design she is absolutely light years ahead.

As part of a large renovation of our 1910 villa I opted to use the specific skills of a bathroom designer to help with the project. Brittany Hunt from Design Haus has been part of the project from the outset.

I first met Brittany after I made a cold call to her regarding a bathroom renovation for our previous home. I was impressed with her knowledge, passion and friendly  professionalism.  We had concept drawings done, then everything was shelved as we sold the house and moved on to a much bigger project. I did not hesitate to use Brittany again - this time to design 3 bathrooms, a powder room and a laundry as part of the renovation of our new 1910 villa.

Brittany was very thorough in the brief, promptly produced concept drawings and then followed on with detailed drawings and elevations, including lighting and wiring. Choosing the right fittings and fixtures, tiles and paint colours is an overwhelming and stressful process. Brittany narrowed down the options and made helpful suggestions based on her broad knowledge of what is available. We wanted to do our ensuite & main bathroom and were not sure where to start. We had put this project off for a couple of years.  I finally searched the Internet and found Design Haus, where we made an appointment to meet Brittany.  We were initially going to go with basic concepts, but once we met Brittany we felt so comfortable and relaxed, we knew we were in the right hands.  

Brittany listened to our brief and came back with some great designs and suggestions of products and fixtures to use.  It saved us so much time in not having to go through the hundreds of different bathroom brochures and to all the different suppliers.  We soon were able to work out what products we wanted and go directly to the shops to look at each item.   

We have been so impressed with Brittany's professionalism and knowledge she gave us throughout the project.  We always felt we were her top priority, which I am sure she does with all of her clients.  Nothing was ever a problem for Brittany.

After our designs were complete, Design Haus referred us to their recommended Project manager to implement the project. He has a great team of contractors who were all extremely good and professional.  They have done a fantastic job of implementing the work.

One highlight that we must mention is Brittany's suggestion for feature lighting, something we could not imagine but we went ahead as we trusted Brittany's judgement.  This lighting has taken our bathrooms into another league!  We now have 2 beautiful bathrooms which we are completely over the moon with.  We definitely all got it right.
